In Eyes on Me, voyeurism takes center stage as Garrett, one of the owners of the Salacious Players’ Club, finds himself hooked on a cam girl app—only to discover that the girl he’s watching is Mia, his estranged step-sister. Though they can’t stand each other, Garrett is drawn to her, but there’s a catch: Mia has no idea he’s the man behind the screen. As he grapples with his growing obsession and hidden identity, Garrett must decide how far he’ll go to keep Mia’s attention, and let us tell you, he sure knows how to take things to the next level.
A Different Kind of Spice
If voyeurism and forbidden romance catch your attention, Eyes on Me is your next spicy read to consider. This second installment in the Salacious Players’ Club series pulls you in fast with its compelling tension between step-siblings Garrett and Mia. Garrett finds himself hooked on Mia’s camgirl profile by accident (and yes, he’s aware it’s his stepsister’s when he finds it). He’s unaware that his growing obsession will force him to confront emotions he’s long buried. We know, we know, step-siblings are kind of giving the “ick,” but it’s just borderline acceptable given the way the dynamics play out. Just hold onto the 13 year age gap and that Garrett doesn’t truly develop feelings until Mia is 21. That being said, if you can’t get past those details, also that their parents are still married, just from reading this review, then skip and move on to the next book, because this is a repeating theme that is not overlooked as part of the main characters’ romance.
Tension at the Lake House
The first half of the book builds tension quickly, with spice and conflict bubbling under the surface. Watching Garrett wrestle with both lust and guilt as he watches Mia via webcam adds a layer of intensity, and the dynamic only heats up when they meet in person at their family lake house. We love how Garrett’s internal conflict—whether to indulge in his desires or care for Mia emotionally—makes him both hot and human. Not to mention, in this half of the book the spice slaps.
At the lake house, Garrett shines as a book boyfriend. His flirtatious moments and spicy scenes with Mia, like the foreplay involving a little ice, a bit of direction, and a lot of tongue on the kitchen island, is steamy and well-written. The attraction between them is palpable, and despite the step-sibling setup, their lack of close familial ties and age gap make their relationship easier to digest. This part of the book is a playful exploration of tension, with just enough spiceto keep you turning the pages.
Back at the Club
However, after the lake house, things take quite a serious turn. The major plot twist, while predictable, transitions the story from a fun, spicy read to something deeper, as Garrett struggles with his mental health. The tone shifts dramatically, and while some readers might appreciate the added emotional weight, others may find the sudden change jarring. Spice-wise: There are plenty of spicy scenes while at the club to keep your interest. Garrett’s willingness to fully submit at the club, allowing Mia to take control in an extreme kink scene will definitely leave you “wide-eyes”, but it also marks a bold, unexpected shift in their relationship.
Final Thoughts: Fun, Kinky, but Not Long-Term Boyfriend Material
In the end, Garrett isn’t the best book boyfriend. He waits to be outed about his cam girl persona “Drake” despite having numerous opportunities to do so. He’s definitely sexy, knows how to push the right buttons, and can bring the heat (especially with a few kinky surprises), but his emotional instability makes him a challenging partner. If you’re looking to explore voyeurism, exhibitionism, or backdoor play, Eyes on Me is a good entry point (no pun intended), but don’t expect a long-term love story. Garrett’s the type you have fun with but might not be ready to keep forever.
As always, here are your spicy chapters if you just want some of the fun without the commitment: 3, 6, 13, 15, 16, 22, 24, 26-28, 35, 36, & Epilogue.
